Hello Class, raising a question about the first image of the video "introduction to Brazil" is my intention. I have discussed to Ronaldo about the content of this picture and the impressions or ideas that could be understood. When i saw it, the only thing that come to my mind was that Brazil was a paradise with beautiful girls and the things were "easy", laws simply didn't exist. It would suggest that Brazil is a jungle and the politics were ruled similar in Rome: " bread and Circus ". Someway, It would seem almost "an advertisement prostutution". The europeans could do here what is forbidden in their country and "civilize" us, animals. Probably, this picture would be considered as "normal" and "acceptable" in Brazil because of reiterated social events like Carnival, especially in Bahia and Rio. The impact of this picture can be bad for our country when I young european, whose mind is formatting, for example, concludes wrongly that Brazil is only this and said to his father:" they really think only about it. They're animals" . Our challenge, as brazilan's citizens, is to deny that we are the " Carnival and Soccer country, with nice and beautiful places" and show our potential, value. But one lie is believed more than a thousand trues. They don't cary and know us, as a result, they generalize. My question is: do you think this picture can contribute to form a bad image of us ?
